The Timekeeper
This is the sister piece to the Cup of Life posted earlier .... I've had great fun playing around with collaging stamps - there are nine different stamps used in this piece - finding I can get so much more out of them now I don't just see them as a whole image and break them down using them as different components. I took Hels kind advice from last time and gave this one an inky border which I think works. They are growing in stature too - venturing beyond the atc which is my preferred size to work in. Now, just to find her a suitable frame. Having taken the vow to hang nothing upon my walls apart from art made either by myself or my friends ... I got a whole lotta wall to fill!

You made a beautiful piece of art for your wall. I think the inky border is perfect! I have been counting, and yes I see 9 different stamps, it's amazing what you do with your stamps!
ReplyDeleteInk-reasingly bigger and better! Fill those walls now.
ReplyDeleteI just went out last week and bought a bunch of ink to try out too.

Fabulous creation to go with The Cup of Life! I think that's brilliant, to use 9 different stamps, Penny! The two will look gorgeous on your wall, for sure.
ReplyDeleteThis is very lovely and I think the border works very well!
ReplyDeleteI love this piece and couldn't believe you'd combined 9 stamps - cool! Loving the inky border as well. I find ATC's tiny to work on but I think that can be just as challenging as massive pieces that I normally work on! Thank you for your comments on my blog I'm going to try and have a me day!
