In the arms of
the Seamstress
he came
undone.
His starched
collar,
in need of
stiffening,
he abandoned
himself
to her
ministrations
while
she
unpicked
his
selvage edges,
relieving his tension,
all the while
gathering
his stitches
to weave
into her
counterpane
made
entirely
of his
remnants.
I love how you paired this with the images on the tag... brilliant!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for stopping by the blog the other day too.

ReplyDeleteYou are just so creative and so talented, Penny. There is so much in your poem I have seen something different in it each time I read it and your tag is lovely.
ReplyDeleteclever and quite erotic..reminds me of the tension in Jane Eyre which I saw last week at the pics
ReplyDeleteYour wording never ceases to amaze me! I lov checking out your blog it always brings a smile....sometimes a wicked one the poem just made me think that way:) I am so glad you are enjoying the recipes I am posting. I love each one and use them often. Now I don't know if it is helping my wrinkles all that much but it never hurts to try and it sure can't hurt:)

ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, Penny. A tip - to avoid mud, let each layer dry before you apply the next, then they can't interact. If you're like me, i.e. impatient, that can be very hard though!
ReplyDeleteToday for the first time I can see the pictures on your blog .....
ReplyDeleteYou make very beautiful things, Penny! The tag is also great!
Have a nice Sunday
