4TH ALTERED BOOK PAGE
This is my fourth altered book page. I love the background so much that I couldn't find anything to use as a central image which didn't obscure it. I tried every combination of shapes and sizes imaginable. I contemplated leaving it as it was! Eventually, I decided to add a few sparkles (not my usual way of things at all!) and, a tiny winged image at the very bottom of the page. I may add a sentiment, or then again, maybe not. Perhaps this is just enough as it is? I hope so.
But where is it?????????
ReplyDeleteHa! Cath ... I did the daft thing again and published my post without the photo ... but, shh, don't tell anyone! x
ReplyDeletemmm, I like this one a lot, too!! there's a soft peace to it.
ReplyDeleteLOL, Betsy - glad you added the photo now so that we can see what you're talking about :) LOVE those colours - that turquoise is just so cool and peaceful - I suppose it's like the sea, washing over you. Turquoise and teal are my 'feel good' colours. Great choice of image, too!
ReplyDeletePen, this is lovely - the colours are great, did you use gesso? The central stamp works well, and I like the winged image at the bottom. This has a sort of classical Grecian style (says the style expert, NOT!).

The background is so gorgeous, I'm not surprised you didn't want to cover it! I think you chose rightly with a smaller image. Job well done.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're liking it! Thankyou x
ReplyDeleteNo gesso Jo - just acrylics and a still wet babywipe ... wonderful things, so many uses for them in all their varying stages of dampness ... I love 'em. I know exactly what you mean about the classical Grecian style Jo ... Ahem! Sounds good tho doesn't it? x
Yes, it is just enough as it is! I love the background! What a babywipe can do :)
ReplyDeletePenny, That really came out good. I agree with your not adding any more to it.
ReplyDeleteSomehow your description wet babywipe made me think of a wet baby first. Of course I think that the baby changing stations in restrooms are where you switch babies, hehe!
Thanks for your nice comments on my blog too. It took me reading it twice to get the interior and exterior comment. I appreciate it.
