ALTERED BOOK PAGE

I had forgotten just how much I enjoy creating backgrounds... the more random the results, the happier I am. I did this with acrylic paints which I applied and then, before dry I rubbed a piece of glossy card onto it and lifted it. I love the way it lifts off some spots of background. The stamped image was one I found in my scrap box. I stamped the diamond pattern in distress ink. The button was a late find. I struggled to finish off the bottom right hand corner. I felt it needed something more and this was what I settled with.... eventually! For a simple page, this sure took me a while.

  3. I love that effect, I did something similar once when a piece of photo paper didn't like my printer and the ink just lay on top of the paper. Rather than waste all that ink I rubbed a piece of card over the image and it came away with a fantastic ditressed looking photo image.

Love the effect you've created here :D
