LOVE NEST

Not enough time to post properly today but I made this very quickly this evening as a Moving Home card for my daughter Hannah and her partner Neil who are moving into their new home this weekend. I'm not sure who is more excited ... me, or her!
I will try to straighten it tomorrow!

  1. What a gorgeous card, Penny! Love how you have done the roof and the building too! I sure Hannah and Neil will really appreciate your card.

  3. Ooooh, I like it, too! The triangles on top are pretty -- is it a long stamp, or individual ones?

  4. Thank you for your lovely comments.
The triangles along the top are from 1 diamond stamp, halved and cut out. Its such a pretty stamp but I've yet to use it whole! I'm glad you like it x

  6. Such a beautiful card, but I don't expect anything less from you! I hope your daughter has it framed for her new home. Do you remember when you had your first home away from your parents? I do, and I adored it - it didn't matter that it had frayed carpets or that I struggled to pay the mortgage AND eat, I just loved it. Exciting times for Hannah and Neil, I hope the move all goes well.

  7. Yes Jo, I do! I was 17 and moved in with my first boyfriend - I was such an early starter! We lived happily in this huge Victorian flat that was so cool it was hot, for a couple of years unti I got bored of being a domestic goddess! Said boyfriend and I parted, flat and I stayed together and I lived alone for a long time continuing my heady romance with the flat! I still have fond memories of that ..... place!
