This week I read of two bloggers personal losses of loved ones which made me really sad. I've never met any of those people involved but I felt their loss all the same as I'm sure we all do.
This is my favourite poem and I'm posting it for Artyjen who sadly lost her husband and, for Fiona who sadly lost her Mother and her cat. I cannot begin to imagine how either is feeling but I'm sending them love and if they see these words, I hope they help. For me, at the end, this is all that really counts:
Late Fragment
And did you get what you wanted from this life, even so?
I did.
And what did you want?
To call myself, to feel myself beloved on this earth.
Raymond Carver (written the day before his own death)
