This atc was great fun to make. I made something similar a long while back but I've tried to improve on the original. I used a sheet of paper from an A-Z (no - it wasn't old, just hope I never have to visit this part of the world!) as the background. I love maps of any description. The two women stamp is from a fashion plate that I've had since time began. The car stamp came in a Club Stamp kit - I remember being less than impressed with that months theme, but, I've used it more times than I can count! I think the 'Scenic Route' wording also came in that kit. I then painted both images using Adirondack inks in Citrus, Sunshine Yellow and Stonewashed. I don't usually paint anything - colours get smooshed about instead - but I have discovered I LOVE to paint - well, to colour in using paint! Such fun, transported me right back to being a child with my colouring books. I also coloured the chrome on the car with silver metallic pen - does anybody get more than one use out of them?! I seem to get in such a mess with them.
Thinking about wrecking over my A-Z, I remember once rushing to my wardrobe and cutting the buttons off a perfectly good shirt because they were exactly what I needed for the piece I was making. Have you ever recycled anything before it's time was up, in the name of your art?
