KIND THOUGHTS

Thank you all for your kind well wishes regarding my Dad. They are all so much appreciated. He is having a 6th stent fitted this afternoon and we are waiting to be allowed to visit. Today is the 63rd anniversary of the day my parents first met. They've always celebrated it more than their actual wedding anniversary.
The background for this piece is a scrap of copy paper which emerged from under a heap of fabric paper which Alison and I made on our play day last Friday. I liked it more than the fabric paper itself! The flower came from some blog candy I received many months ago and toned perfectly with the background. The lady looks pensive to me - I guess thats how I feel. I was going to stamp the background some more - nothing felt right. I think its meant to be left as it is. I wonder what she's thinking.

  1. Blimey, 63 years since they met. That's something else isn't it? Keeping you and your family in my uppermost thoughts, as is your pensive lady by the look of her. Loving that background and the flower is oh so perfect with it (don't try and tell me it wasn't all planned....!). xxxx

Your lady does look thoughtful - may her pensive thoughts be set to rest soon, and a smile soon grace her lips. xox Karin

  7. 63 years is a lifetime of memories, a real celebration for your Mum and Dad. I think you've created this piece so sensitively Penny, almost like a tribute to them. I love the colour - I wouldn't have thrown that scrap away either!

I like to remember the time I met my hsband as we didn't marry for two years but for me it adds two years on to all those years together.
